Established on the 7th of September 2007, Madeira Sports Centre is an infrastructure run by the Vice-Presidency of the District Government of Madeira, and materialized through Ponta do Oeste Development Society.

The sports centre is located in Ribeira Brava valley, along 60 thousand square metres, between the express way and the brook-bed, offering an outstanding integration with the surrounding landscape and unique conditions for sports.

In addition to two football fields, the main one in grass and another in artificial grass, this infrastructure offers two tennis courts, two paddle courts, one 7-a-side football field, one half-open sports hall, and also, an eight-lane running athletics track prepared for all the varieties one can find at this modality, namely pole vault, long and high jump, shot put, discus, hammer and javelin throwing.
